However, it has become primarily a lost art in our current culture that overlooks this crucial time, misleading us to believe we have to do this all on our own.  Parents who feel well cared for when bringing home their new baby experience more positive memories of this major life transition. Encouragement, experienced care, and support go a really long way when adjusting to your "new normal" & building your parenting confidence!  This is the most challenging, yet awe-inspiring experience of your life!

Pricing and Packages

It's difficult to know ahead of time how much postpartum support you will need, or what your best plan would look like - the following packages are based on real-life experiences, and not intended to lock you into a schedule - the purpose is to give you an idea of the types & amount of care other area families have needed. We will adapt to meet your unique needs & what will work best for your family.
Postpartum support goes beyond chores & a listening ear - it meets Mom where she is. Making a difference in the overall well-being of the family. This is a WONDERFUL gift idea for friends & family members who are looking for a caring way to help you as a new family!

Check on Me

Upon the doula's arrival to your home, we can discuss and assess what needs are priority - A nap? Shower? Meals? Questions & Answers? Mom's priorities are the doula's priorities!  Customized care from the above categories.  One parent must be present in the home.  Ideal time is 2-3 hours within the first week or two after birth - $110

My Village

Scheduled flexibly over the first few weeks after birth, in any of the care areas & examples listed above. An excellent option especially for families who's loved ones are far away, first babies, complicated deliveries.  Ideal time is 2-3 hours each visit for a total of 20 hours, from hospital departure through 5 weeks - $700

A-La-Doula

Add to another package, or simply enjoy the flexibility of hourly-based care.  Want someone to help settle you in from your birth place? Drive you to an appointment when your partner is back to work? A good cry on an understanding shoulder while working through postpartum hormones? We are one call away!  Hourly rate - $40

**Please Note** Because I also serve as a Birth Doula and am a Mom myself, there may be times that I request understanding and flexibility with scheduling as well. I will always do my best to accommodate needs and adhere to scheduled times, but sometimes babies have their own agenda's in mind ;)

Think Outside the Box

There are many other life situations that doula's can provide much-needed emotional support and comfort:
  • Doctor Appointments (especially those with "white coat syndrome" or medical anxiety)
  • Day-of-Procedure Companion (since we are comfortable in a medical environment and can help you feel calm and relaxed)
  • Emotional support (non-clinical) / listening ear during a major life change, such as separation or divorce.
Doesn't it sound great to have a life-Doula? :) It doesn't have to feel like an impossible or silly idea - visit the Contact page to send your inquiries!
